Council of the Federation Literacy Award Ceremony

This year’s Nova Scotia recipient of the Council of the Federation Literacy Award is Lorenda Harper of Truro, who returned to school after years of working in food services. Despite initial fears, she enrolled in the General Educational Development (GED) program through the Colchester Adult Learning Association and passed all five GED tests in 2023.
