NEW WORK


HANTS COUNTY: Trunk 14, Windsor

Trunk 14 from 0.4 kilometres north of Smeltzer Road to Windsor has alternating lane closures until Saturday, August 15, for roadwork.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.


GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Route 344, Aulds Cove

Route 344 from one kilometre south of Highway 104 southerly to Loggie Street will have alternating lane closures from Monday, June 8, until Wednesday, September 30, for roadwork.

Traffic control will be in place. Work takes place Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.


VICTORIA COUNTY: MacLeod Bridge, Cape North

The MacLeod Bridge on the Cabot Trail, between Dingwall Road and South Ridge Road, is reduced to one lane until Friday, June 19, for maintenance.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.


CONTINUING WORK


CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Campbell Brook Bridge, Sydney

The Campbell Brook Bridge on Keltic Drive is closed for replacement until Wednesday, September 30.

The detour is via Route 305 to Northwest Arm Road to Route 239 to Route 305. The bridge is closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


COLCHESTER COUNTY: Barnhill Bridge, Belmont

The Barnhill Bridge on Belmont Road, located between Cross Road and Plains Road, will be closed until further notice.

Detour signs are in place.


COLCHESTER COUNTY: Edmund Lynds Bridge, North River

Route 311 south of civic address 1457 and north of civic address 1333, is closed for replacement of the Edmund Lynds Bridge until Monday, November 30.

Traffic travelling south of civic address 1457 will detour via Route 311, Upper Brookside Road, Brookside Road and Mountain Lee Road.

Traffic travelling north of civic address 1333 will detour via Route 311, Mountain Lee Road, Brookside Road and Upper Brookside Road.

Detour signs are in place. This section of Route 311 and the bridge are closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Truss Bridge, Truro

The Salmon River Truss Bridge connecting Walker and Main streets will have alternating lane closures for roadwork until Wednesday, September 30.

Work takes place daily from sunrise to sunset; signs and traffic lights are in place.


HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 103, Beechville

Highway 103 from the Beechville CNR overpass westerly to Exit 3 will have alternating lane closures for road maintenance and bridge work most nights until Monday, August 31.

Work begins at 7 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and ends at 6 a.m. the next day.


HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 107 Twinning

Highway 107 from Burnside to Lake Loon will have temporary closures for blasting that is required for twinning. The closures will be 10 minutes long, and there will be up to two per day between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Work takes place Monday to Friday until Thursday, July 30. Traffic control and signs are in place.


HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Route 357, Musquodoboit Harbour

Route 357 in Musquodoboit Harbour has alternating lane closures from Trunk 7 northerly for six kilometres.

Work takes place Monday to Friday from sunrise to sunset until Tuesday, June 30. Traffic control and signs are in place.


HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102, Enfield

Highway 102 between Exit 7 and Exit 8 will be reduced to one lane at times both northbound and southbound for construction in the median.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset until Saturday, October 31.


LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103 Twinning, Hubbards to Chester

Highway 103 from two kilometres west of Exit 6 to four kilometres west of Exit 7 has temporary lane closures for blasting until May 2027.

As part of the same project, Trunk 3 from one kilometre west of the carpool parking lot at Exit 7 to 400 metres east of the lot, has temporary lane closures for blasting until June 2026.

The work in both locations is planned for most weekdays at about 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for about 10 minutes at a time. The eastbound and westbound lanes are both closed during the blasting. Traffic control is in place.

There will not be blasting or lane closures on the following:

  • after noon on Fridays
  • holidays and days before holidays
  • weekends.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 106, Pictou

Highway 106 between the Pictou Rotary and the ferry terminal in Caribou is reduced to one lane for about four kilometres for paving until Monday, August 31.

Traffic control is in place. Work takes place Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.


PICTOU COUNTY: Moore’s Ford Bridge, River John

The Moore’s Ford Bridge on West Branch Road is closed until further notice.

The detour is via West Branch Road, College Grant Road and Route 256.


PICTOU COUNTY: Welsford Bridge, River John

The Welsford Bridge on Old Pictou Road is closed until further notice.

The detour is via Old Pictou Road, Allen Road, Trunk 6 and River John Road.


VICTORIA COUNTY: Seal Island Bridge

The Seal Island Bridge is reduced to one lane through today, June 5, for the replacement of bridge joints.

Traffic control signals are in place, and the speed limit is reduced.


YARMOUTH COUNTY: D’Entremont Road, Pubnico

The intersection of D’Entremont Road and Route 335 has alternating lane closures for paving and drainage work until Tuesday, June 30.

Work takes place Monday to Friday from sunrise to sunset. Traffic control is on-site.


YARMOUTH COUNTY: Raynardton Road, Tusket

Raynardton Road from Highway 103 northerly to Saunders Road has alternating lane closures for paving and guardrail work until Sunday, August 30.

Work takes place Monday to Friday from sunrise to sunset. Traffic control is on-site.
