Call for Nominations for Council of the Federation Literacy Award

Nova Scotians are invited to celebrate exceptional achievements in literacy and learning by submitting a nomination for the Council of the Federation Literacy Award.
“Lifelong learning transforms lives and strengthens the heart of our communities,” said Premier Tim Houston. “Literacy is more than a skill – it’s a bridge to confidence, opportunity and connection at every stage of life. We celebrate Nova Scotians whose dedication and determination light the way for others.”
This national award recognizes and celebrates outstanding achievement, innovative practice and excellence in literacy.
Each year, Canada’s premiers present an adult learner in each province and territory with an award for learning and leadership progress in their community, workplace or school.

Quick Facts:
- the Council of the Federation Literacy Award was established in 2004 and provides 13 awards annually, one for each province and territory
