NEW WORK


QUEENS COUNTY: Mill Village Bridge, Old Highway 3

The Mill Village Bridge on old Highway 3 will be closed on Tuesday, April 21, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for bridge crew rescue training.

A detour will direct drivers to Trunk 3, Medway River Road and Mill Village East Road.


COLCHESTER COUNTY: Edmund Lynds Bridge, North River

Edmund Lynds Bridge on Route 311 will be closed for replacement south of civic address 1457 and north of civic address 1333, from Monday, April 20, until Monday, November 30.

Traffic travelling south of civic address 1457 will detour via Route 311, Upper Brookside Road, Brookside Road and Mountain Lee Road.

Traffic travelling north of civic address 1333 will detour via Route 311, Mountain Lee Road, Brookside Road and Upper Brookside Road.

Detour signs will be in place; the bridge is closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102, Enfield

Highway 102 between Exit 7 and Exit 8 is reduced to one lane for construction in the median.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset until Saturday, October 31.


CONTINUING WORK


CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Campbell Brook Bridge, Sydney

The Campbell Brook Bridge on Keltic Drive is closed for replacement until Friday, July 31.

The detour is via Route 305 to Northwest Arm Road to Route 239 to Route 305. The bridge is closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Truss Bridge, Truro

The Salmon River Truss Bridge connecting Walker and Main streets will have alternating lane closures for roadwork until Wednesday, September 30.

Work takes place daily from sunrise to sunset; signs and traffic lights are in place.


INVERNESS COUNTY: Highway 105, Aberdeen

Highway 105 is reduced to one lane for 4.5 kilometres southerly near the intersection with Lewis Mountain Road and Route 223 to install guardrails and make repairs.

Work will take place Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Friday, May 1.

No detour is available. Traffic control will be on site and motorists should expect delays of up to 30 minutes.


LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103 Twinning, Hubbards to Chester

Highway 103 from two kilometres west of Exit 6 to four kilometres west of Exit 7 has temporary lane closures for blasting until May 2027.

As part of the same project, Trunk 3 from one kilometre west of the carpool parking lot at Exit 7 to 400 metres east of the lot, has temporary lane closures for blasting until June 2026.

The work in both locations is planned for most weekdays at about 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for about 10 minutes at a time. The eastbound and westbound lanes are both closed during the blasting. Traffic control is in place.

There will not be blasting or lane closures on the following:

  • after noon on Fridays
  • holidays and days before holidays
  • weekends.

PICTOU COUNTY: Moore’s Ford Bridge, River John

The Moore’s Ford Bridge on West Branch Road will be closed until further notice.

The detour is via West Branch Road, College Grant Road and Route 256.


PICTOU COUNTY: Welsford Bridge, River John

The Welsford Bridge on Old Pictou Road is closed until further notice.

The detour is via Old Pictou Road, Allen Road, Trunk 6 and River John Road.
