Seniors Care Grant Applications Open
Seniors in Nova Scotia can now apply for a $750 grant to help with healthcare or household costs.
The annual Seniors Care Grant program has helped tens of thousands of people across the province with the cost of home heating, phone and internet services, prescription deliveries and more.
“This program gives seniors across Nova Scotia peace of mind and support that can help them maintain their independence,” said Barbara Adams, Minister of Seniors and Long-Term Care. “Getting a little help with household chores, snow removal or with the costs of home heating can go a long way for seniors who want to stay in their homes and communities.”
Until March 31, 2026, people aged 65 and over with a household income up to $45,100 can apply:

Print applications are available at Access Nova Scotia centres and MLA offices and will also be mailed to previous recipients.
Seniors who are signed up for direct deposit with the Canada Revenue Agency will receive funds through direct deposit. All other eligible applicants will receive their payment by cheque.
This funding is one example of how the government is demonstrating a commitment to Nova Scotians as they age. The Province remains focused on helping people continue to live well in their homes and communities.
