Third-Quarter Results
The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) released its third-quarter financial results today, April 1.
Total sales from September 30 to December 29, 2024, were down 0.6 per cent to $230.9 million, with a decrease in beverage alcohol sales and an increase in cannabis sales compared with the same time last year.
Beverage alcohol sales decreased 1.1 per cent to $199.2 million, and cannabis sales increased 2.7 per cent to $31.7 million.
Earnings decreased 5.4 per cent to $75.7 million.
Sales of Nova Scotia alcohol products increased by 1.8 per cent to $25.6 million. Locally produced ready-to-drink products led the category with a 5.6 per cent increase to $8.6 million. Local cannabis sales decreased 12.1 per cent to $8.8 million, with Nova Scotia cannabis products accounting for 27.9 per cent of all cannabis sales.
Other local product sales results include:
- craft beer increased 3.8 per cent to $7.8 million
- wine decreased 2.7 per cent to $4.9 million
- spirits decreased 3.2 per cent to $4.2 million.
