John Lohr, Minister of Finance and Treasury Board, will release the 2025-26 provincial budget today, February 18, at Province House in Halifax. In the tradition of other Canadian finance ministers, Minister Lohr, who is also a farmer and agri-business entrepreneur, purchased new shoes for budget day.
Finance and Treasury Board Minister John Lohr stands in his newly purchased work boots in a greenhouse at Taproot Farms in Port Williams. Owners Patricia Bishop and Josh Oulton purchased the farm in 2007, and today, this family-owned farm is 70 per cent organic.
