Support for Harness Racing Facility in Cape Breton
The Province is investing in Northside Downs, a community hub for harness racing and recreation in North Sydney.
“These upgrades reflect the Province’s commitment to improving recreational infrastructure and accessibility,” said Public Works Minister Fred Tilley, MLA for Northside-Westmount, on behalf of Dave Ritcey, Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage. “Northside Downs is a vital part of our community, and these improvements will ensure it continues to thrive as a space for everyone to enjoy.”
Northside Downs is managed by Harness Racing Cape Breton Inc., which is receiving $1 million to improve training grounds and recreation barns and enhance accessibility features.
