Independent Human Rights Hearing Begins November 4

Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission

An independent human rights board of inquiry in the matter of Carlene MacDonald vs. Province of Nova Scotia (Department of Health and Wellness) will begin Monday, November 4, in Truro.

Ms. MacDonald alleges she was discriminated against based on a disability while seeking medical treatment.

The board chair for the hearing is Dennis James, who is independent of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.

The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Rath Community Centre, 625 Abenaki Rd., Truro.
