Funding for Community Facility in Kings County
Residents in the community of Morden, Kings County, will see upgrades to the community hall with a provincial grant.
“I am so pleased with this investment in the community of Morden and the wonderful people who live and volunteer there,” said Chris Palmer, MLA for Kings West, on behalf of Allan MacMaster, Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage.
The Morden Community Association oversees the use and maintenance of the community hall, playground, park and the site of an Acadian memorial cross. It received funding to improve its kitchen facilities to meet fire code and operational requirements, including a new air exhaust for the propane stove and a fire suppression system.
