Funding for Recreation Facility in Inverness County
Judique residents will see improvements to a community facility thanks to a provincial grant.
“Volunteers are providing sport and physical activity experiences for all ages here in Judique,” said Allan MacMaster, Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage. “This investment will help them to protect and improve the assets they have worked so hard to develop.”
The Judique and Area Community Development Association received funding to restore the recreation grounds and maintenance building at the Judique Community Centre. The facility hosts recreational activities such as baseball, tennis, track and field, concerts and community breakfasts and dinners. Funding will go towards excavation and water course alterations, roof repairs and ball court improvements.
