A fisheries simulator with navigation capabilities for both fishing and aquaculture – the first of its kind in Canada – will be in place at the school of fisheries at Nova Scotia Community College's Shelburne campus this fall. It will provide aspiring and working fishers and sea farmers who want to advance their careers at sea with a realistic experience in operating fishing vessels.
The Province announced its contribution to the project today, May 17, at the campus. See the news release here: https://news.novascotia.ca/en/2024/05/17/new-fisheries-simulator-nscc-shelburne-campus
