Independent Human Rights Hearing Begins April 16
Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission
An independent human rights board of inquiry in the matter of Ross Gray vs. Halifax Bridge Commission and/or Halifax Harbour Bridges and/or Commissionaires Nova Scotia will begin Tuesday, April 16, in Halifax.
Mr. Gray alleges he was discriminated against based on his race and/or colour during an interaction with bridge commission employees while crossing the bridge with his bicycle.
The board chair for the hearing is Benjamin Perryman, who is independent of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.
The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Halifax-Bedford, 980 Parkland Dr.
