Third-Quarter Results
The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) released its third-quarter financial results today, March 12
Total sales from October 2 to December 31, 2023, were up 1.8 per cent to $232.2 million, with an increase in both beverage alcohol and cannabis compared with the same time last year.
Beverage alcohol sales increased 0.4 per cent to $201.4 million, and cannabis sales increased 12.0 per cent to $30.9 million.
Earnings increased 1.5 per cent to $80.0 million.
Sales of Nova Scotia products increased by 8.7 per cent to $35.2 million. Locally produced ready-to-drink products lead the beverage alcohol category with a 7.2 per cent increase to $8.1 million, while cannabis led the growth of Nova Scotia products overall, with a 17.7 per cent increase to $10.0 million.
Other local product sales results include:
- craft beer increased 6.1 per cent to $7.6 million
- wine increased 5.1 per cent to $5.1 million
- spirits increased 1.5 per cent to $4.4 million.
