Registry of Joint Stock Companies Modernized to Improve Client Service
The Registry of Joint Stock Companies (RJSC) is now modernized to provide businesses and others a more integrated 24/7 online customer self-service experience. RJSC Connect is easy, fast and efficient.
System features include:
- enhanced 24/7 secure access from a computer or mobile device
- smart forms to submit filings for all business types, including companies, co-ops and societies to ensure filings are complete
- ability to submit, manage and track all filings and orders online
- real-time notifications
- improved search function
“Modernizing the Registry of Joint Stock Companies is another example of the exciting work we are doing to make it easier, faster and more efficient for Nova Scotians to access government programs digitally,” said Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services Minister Patricia Arab. “The new system will significantly improve services with enhanced 24/7 online access contributing to a more positive online customer self-service experience.”

- there are more than 250,000 Registry of Joint Stock Companies transactions completed annually
- modernizing the Registry of Joint Stock Companies technology will generate significant savings in reduced time and paperwork for businesses, non-profits and individuals using the new system. Businesses, collectively, are expected to save $7 million annually through red tape reduction
- the former Registry of Joint Stock Companies system was more than 20 years old
