Evenings at Government House to Celebrate Heritage and Artists

Nova Scotians are invited to attend the 2019 fall Evenings at Government House in Halifax to celebrate heritage and artistic excellence.
"These events are a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate Nova Scotia’s rich history and showcase amazing performances in the setting of Government House, the ceremonial home of all Nova Scotians,” said Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc.
All events are from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and include:
- a concert by Les Voix d’Acadie, a francophone choir from the Halifax Regional Municipality, Tuesday, Sept. 24
- to mark the 75th anniversary of the Nova Scotia Talent Trust, Devin Huang, scholarship recipient, will give a piano recital, Tuesday, Oct. 8
- a musical performance by Leanne Hoffman in association with the Halifax Pop Explosion, Tuesday, Oct. 22
- a presentation by author Leo J. Deveau on the Halifax-based infantry regiment the Princess Louise Fusiliers, Tuesday, Nov. 5
- on the 10th anniversary of its reopening after the major renovation, Christopher McCreery will give a presentation on Government House, Tuesday, Nov. 19

- Government House is at 1451 Barrington St.
- events are free and people must register online at lt.gov.ns.ca or by calling 902-424-7001
- registration for each event will open two weeks before, on a first-come, first-served basis
- this is the fifth series hosted by Lt.-Gov. LeBlanc and Mrs. Patsy LeBlanc since his appointment in June 2017
