Deputy to Oversee Bluenose II Restoration

David Darrow, deputy minister to the premier and clerk of the Executive Council, will assume oversight of the Bluenose II restoration project.

"We have already taken steps to look into the handling of this project by asking the auditor general to conduct a full review, and by calling the project before the public accounts committee," said Premier Stephen McNeil. "Like all Nova Scotians, I want answers in relation to what's taken place surrounding the Bluenose II."

Mr. Darrow has a background in engineering, large-scale project management, and with the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal.
