Sherbrooke Village Hosts Road to Stanfest Songwriter's Camp
Sherbrooke Village will host the seventh annual Road to Stanfest Songwriters' Camp from July 1 to 4.
The camp has become an annual retreat for many participants, who come for the songwriting experience, great instruction, and lack of distractions.
"I look forward to returning to camp to rekindle some old friendships and make some new ones," said participant Glenda Morash Pennel, who is busy working on some new songs.
Produced in partnership with the Stan Rogers Folk Festival, the camp will feature a stellar line-up of instructors. These include multiple music award winners: Dave Carroll, Sons of Maxwell; Kim Dunn; Jon Vezner; and Canadian folk hero, Valdy.
The songwriting camp will offer enhanced programming and instruction this year. Students will also have the opportunity to take part in a special on-stage performance at the Stan Rogers Folk Festival in Canso from July 4 to 7.
