Updated Highway Conditions, Ferry Operations

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

While the worst of the storm has passed, blowing and drifting snow continues to make driving difficult. Roads are snow-covered or partially covered. Series 100 highways are passable with caution.

Unnecessary travel is not recommended. Motorists are encouraged to stay off highways to allow plows and salt trucks to continue to clear roads.

Service on the Tancook Island, Country Harbour and Englishtown Ferries is suspended due to high winds. Grand Passage, LaHave, Little Narrows and Petit Passage ferries are running.

Safe winter driving tips, along with information on plowing and salting schedules, can be found online at www.novascotia.ca/tran/winter .
