Final Week for Diamond Jubilee Scholarships

One week remains for Grade 12 students to apply for a $2,000 scholarship in honour of the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.

"Nova Scotia students are our future leaders," said Education Minister Ramona Jennex. The work they do in our communities is amazing, and I encourage graduating students to take advantage of this unique opportunity."

For this year only, 60 commemorative scholarships, one for each year of Her Majesty's reign, will be awarded to Grade 12 students who have demonstrated leadership and made significant contributions to their communities and the province. The recipients will receive a $2,000 scholarship, which must be applied to a post-secondary educational opportunity, and a certificate of recognition.
