Premier Offers Condolences to Dennis Family

Premier Darrell Dexter tonight, Dec. 1, expressed his condolences on the passing of Chronicle Herald publisher, Graham Dennis.

"Graham Dennis leaves behind a long and important legacy in this province. He loved his newspaper, and he loved Nova Scotia," said Premier Dexter. "He will be remembered as a fine businessman, and a great Canadian."

Graham Dennis holds the longest record of service as a publisher in the Canadian daily newspaper industry. The Halifax Herald Limited, under his direction, remained independent - a rarity in Canadian journalism.

"On behalf of all Nova Scotians, my condolences to the Dennis family and the Chronicle Herald family," the premier said. "Nova Scotia has lost a dear friend and a great champion."
