Acting Premier Extends Condolences to Family of Former Cabinet Minister

Acting Premier Frank Corbett was saddened to hear the news that former Shelburne MLA and cabinet minister, Harold Huskilson, passed away Monday, Oct. 24. He was 91.

"My deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Mr. Huskilson at this most difficult time," said Mr. Corbett. "Mr. Huskilson worked hard to serve the people of Shelburne County for more than two decades. He was a kind man who cared about his constituents and he will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him."

Mr. Huskilson served as a member of the legislature from 1970 to 1993. He held several cabinet portfolios during that time, including what is now known as the Community Services.
