Nova Scotians Welcome to Send Condolences
Nova Scotians can express condolences and send sympathies to Jack Layton's family through a condolence book on the premier's website, or in person at the provincial Legislature.
"It's both comforting and inspiring to see such an outpouring of support from Nova Scotians and Canadians across the country," said Premier Darrell Dexter. "Many are looking for ways to express condolences to Jack's family and colleagues. This is an opportunity for Nova Scotians to send those personal messages and reflect upon Jack's impact and memory."
The premier added, "I would also like to thank the many Nova Scotians who have taken the time to send their condolences to me, personally. I am touched and thankful."
Messages will be compiled and sent to Mr. Layton's family through the federal NDP.
The condolence book is available in the foyer of the Legislature and online at premier.gov.ns.ca .
