Premier Congratulates Deputy Minister on Retirement
Premier Darrell Dexter offered his congratulations today, July 27, on Judith Sullivan-Corney's announcement that she will retire from the public service at the end of September.
Ms. Sullivan-Corney is the deputy minister for the Office of Aboriginal Affairs and the Department of Intergovernmental Affairs, both portfolios that the premier oversees.
"Judith has served Nova Scotians in a variety of roles over her 32 years in public service, and in each position she has shown incredible skill and professionalism," said Premier Dexter. "I am pleased to have had the privilege to work directly with her during my time in government.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank Judith for her years of dedication and hard work for the province, and I wish her all the best in her retirement."
Ms. Sullivan-Corney's retirement is effective Oct. 1. However, because of vacation, her last day in the office is Friday, July 29. The province will announce an acting replacement soon.
