Crown Attorney Appointed in Yarmouth
Scott Morrison has been appointed a Crown attorney in the Yarmouth office of the Public Prosecution Service.
The appointment was announced today, July 13, by Martin Herschorn, director of Public Prosecutions.
"I am pleased to have Mr. Morrison join our team," said Mr. Herschorn. "His prosecutorial experience and enthusiasm will be an asset to the Public Prosecution Service."
Mr. Morrison, a Halifax native, graduated from the University of King's College in 1997 with a bachelor of arts and from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2001 with a bachelor of public relations.
Before going to law school, he spent five years working in public relations in Toronto. Mr. Morrison graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2008.
He articled with the Halifax law firm of Stewart McKelvey and was appointed a Crown attorney in British Columbia in 2009. Mr. Morrison prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases in Williams Lake, a city in B.C.'s central interior.
