TeamSpace Named Nova Scotia Exporter of the Year

A Bedford-based software company is the province's top exporter.

TeamSpace Canada was named Nova Scotia Exporter of the Year at the 27th Nova Scotia Export Achievement Awards this week. Held at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax, the annual awards recognized 10 Nova Scotia businesses for excellence in exporting.

TeamSpace specializes in technologies ranging from Lotus Domino to web, mobile and gaming platforms, developing applications for corporate e-learning, digital media, mobile games and virtual worlds. The company works with a variety of long-term clients, including IBM and Nickelodeon.

"TeamSpace's growth is driven by clients and partners both within and outside Nova Scotia," said Michael Johnston, president and CEO, TeamSpace. "This award is a testament to the hard work of our team and the exceptional service they deliver from right here in Halifax."

TeamSpace has had a significant impact on the Bedford community, showing growth in an industry with high-paying salaries. The company's commitment to new products and markets, and its high level of sales also contributed to its selection as Nova Scotia Exporter of the Year.

"Successfully exporting and competing outside our borders, and bringing that value home, is one way we can grow and prosper as a province and as an economy," said Percy Paris, Minister of Economic and Rural Development.
