Premier Expresses Sadness Over the Death of Arnie Patterson

Premier Darrell Dexter expressed sadness today, March 9, over the death of long-time Dartmouth resident Arnie Patterson who died Tuesday after a battle with cancer.

"I was lucky to have had the opportunity to work for Arnie at CFDR radio when I graduated from university," said Premier Dexter. "He was a hard worker, a visionary and indeed a proud Nova Scotian."

Premier Dexter said that after he entered provincial politics, Mr. Patterson would offer him advice and recommendations on how to deal with certain issues that would come up.

"He was always very supportive and I always appreciated his advice. I want to express my sincere condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. Arnie was a great person who will be missed by all who knew him."
