Safety Advisory Issued

Environment Canada is predicting between 40 and 50 millimetres of rain over much of Nova Scotia on Friday, Feb. 25 overnight into Saturday.

The Emergency Management Office is asking people to be prepared for the possibility of localized flooding, particularly in low lying and flood prone areas.

"This is a significant amount of rainfall in a short period of time, especially with the snow pack that is already on the ground in some areas," said Ross Landry, Minister of Emergency Management. "Listen for warnings, take a moment to prepare your home, and use caution around waterways in the coming days."
