Nova Scotia Wins Two Medals in Judo
Team Nova Scotia added two more medals to its total, today, Feb. 23, when Dylan Landry of Louisdale, Richmond Co., and Whitney Lohnes of Bridgewater each won a gold medal in judo.
"I want to congratulate Dylan and Whitney for winning a gold medal and bringing Nova Scotia's medal count to four," said Premier Darrell Dexter. "To win gold in your home province in front of family and friends is an amazing experience that these athletes will never forget."
Premier Dexter also said that today is not only a great day for the winners but also their families and coaches.
"The family, friends and coaches of Dylan and Whitney have all put in time and effort to help theses athletes get to where they are today and I want to offer them my sincere congratulations."
