New Board Member Appointed
David Chisholm has been appointed to the Waterfront Development Corporation board of directors the province announced today, Feb. 15.
"Mr. Chisholm brings financial and industry skills along with previous government agency experience to the position," said Economic and Rural Development and Tourism Minister Percy Paris. "David is committed to furthering the aims and objectives of WDCL to redevelop and revitalize the lands surrounding Halifax Harbour and other property designated by the province."
Mr. Chisholm is former president of MacDonald Chisholm Insurance and has more than 40 years experience in the insurance industry including as director and vice-president of the Nova Scotia Insurance Brokers Association.
He has been involved in community and industry organizations, including chair of the Advisory Council to the Minister of Tourism, a director of Sport Nova Scotia, a member of the Trade Centre Limited board and chair and director of Maritime Medical Care Inc. for 15 years.
"The directors are pleased to welcome Mr. Chisholm to the board," said John Holm, chair, Waterfront Development Corporation. "David's expertise in financial and senior management, and marketing and special events will complement the skills and experience of the other board members in helping WDCL meet its strategic goals and objectives."
