Safety Advisory Issued

After a night of heavy snowfall in most parts of the province, Nova Scotians are asked to use caution as crews continue to work to clear roads.

"I want to thank Nova Scotians for heeding the warnings and taking precautions," said Ross Landry, Minister of Emergency Management. "Driving may be challenging this morning so check conditions in your areas and use caution on the road as clearing continues."

One-hundred series highways and other high volume roads are being cleared first followed by secondary roads. Drivers should continue to use caution and adjust their speed to conditions, and check for closures, cancellations and delays before departing. People should also avoid overexertion when clearing walk and drive ways.
