Province Launches Recognition Program for African Nova Scotians
Outstanding African Nova Scotians are encouraged to stand up and be recognized.
The Office of African Nova Scotian Affairs (ANSA) launched today, Jan. 31, a recognition program that celebrates achievement in African Nova Scotian communities.
"The ANSA Recognition Program celebrates the accomplishments of members of our communities," said African Nova Scotian Affairs Minister Percy Paris. "This program provides community members with the opportunity to publicly acknowledge their successes and encourage others to achieve more."
The program consists of individual and group categories and is designed to include as many achievements as possible including education, military or police service, and milestones in community service.
African Nova Scotians who have made a positive contribution to the community are eligible for nomination.
