Province Seeks Public Input on Automobile Insurance

The province is seeking input from Nova Scotians to ensure that the automobile insurance system meets the needs of today's families.

A website was launched today, Jan. 17, to provide a forum for public input as part of the Auto Insurance Review.

"We want to make sure that the voice of auto insurance consumers is heard," said Graham Steele, Minister for the Insurance Act. "The purpose of this independent review is to ensure Nova Scotians have access to appropriate coverage and premiums that are fair, stable and affordable."

People can visit www.gov.ns.ca/autoinsurancereview/ to access background on auto insurance and provide their input. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 25. The feedback will be considered by those conducting the review.

The website will remain active during the review with new information being added throughout the process.
