Public Service Week in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia civil servants will celebrate Provincial Public Service Week, Monday, Oct. 4, to Sunday, Oct. 10.

"Public servants fight fires, provide quality health care, rescue wildlife, monitor food safety and provide a wide range of services that make life better for families in every region of our province," said Premier Darrell Dexter. "It is important that we recognize their hard work and dedication to Nova Scotians."

Provincial Public Service week is a time when civil servants can share in the knowledge that together they are making a difference in the lives of Nova Scotians.

"Public servants are truly great people doing great things and they deserve to be celebrated," said Frank Corbett, Minister of the Public Service Commission. "Now more than ever we're counting on all civil servants to help the province get back to balance and ensure government lives within its means."
