Premier Dexter Expresses Sorrow Over the Death of Joyce Skabar

Premier Darrell Dexter, today, July 21, expressed sorrow over the death of Joyce Skabar, wife of MLA Brian Skabar.

They were married 27 years. She is survived by her children Lindsay, Thomas, Margaret, Lauren and stepdaughter Jennifer.

"On behalf of members of the House of Assembly, I want to send out my heartfelt condolences to Brian and his family during this difficult time," said Premier Dexter. "Mrs. Skabar was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by all who knew her."

Mrs. Skabar passed away July 20 in hospital in Amherst after a lengthy battle with cancer.
