New Board Chair for the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation Selected
Graham Steele, Minister responsible for the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, announced that Sherry Porter has been appointed as a member and chair of the board of directors for the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC).
"We are very pleased to have Ms. Porter as chair of the board of directors for the NSLC," said Mr. Steele. "Ms. Porter's extensive corporate and board experience makes her an excellent choice for this appointment."
Ms. Porter was chosen for her experience on numerous boards and in the retail sector. She has been the director of public affairs at Sobeys, chief executive officer for the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores, and as board chair of the Pier 21 Society and Symphony Nova Scotia. Ms. Porter is currently board chair for the QEII Foundation.
Ms. Porter will chair the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation for five years.
