Province Congratulates Yarmouth International Airport Corporation for Restored Air Service
Economic and Rural Development Minister Percy Paris is congratulating the Yarmouth International Airport Corporation for reestablishing regular air service between Yarmouth and Portland, Maine.
"We're very pleased the Yarmouth Airport has secured another air-service provider for the Yarmouth-to-Portland route," said Mr. Paris. "The corporation has worked diligently to re-establish this important link and their efforts will support community and economic development throughout the southwest region and the province as a whole."
The Yarmouth International Airport Corporation announced today, Feb. 26, that Twin Cities Air Service of Auburn, Maine, will offer weekly non-stop air service between Yarmouth and Portland, beginning March 15. The air service is confident it can be viable through passenger revenue revenue.
The province continues to work closely with tourism and business leaders in the southwestern region to strengthen tourism and the economy in that area.
