Province Accepting Applications for Non-Adjudicative Agencies, Boards and Commissions
Nova Scotians from all walks of life are invited to apply for positions on the province's non-adjudicative agencies, boards and commissions.
Non-adjudicative agencies, boards and commissions make financial, regulatory, business or policy decisions or recommendations to government, which can have significant implications for Nova Scotians.
There are a range of opportunities available, from health authorities and licensing boards, housing authorities and library and loan boards to heritage advisory councils, law reform and human rights commissions.
"The involvement of men and women as members of non-adjudicative agencies, boards and commissions is critical to the success of democratic government," said Frank Corbett, deputy president of the Executive Council. "By sharing their time and expertise to serve the public in these roles, all Nova Scotians benefit."
For a complete list of opportunities, or to learn more about the appointment process, visit the Executive Council Office website at www.gov.ns.ca/exec_council/abc/ or call 902-424-4877 or toll free 1-866-206-6844.
The government of Nova Scotia has an Employment Equity Policy and welcomes applications from Aboriginal people, African Nova Scotians and other racially visible people, people with disabilities and women. Members of the equity groups are encouraged to self-identify on applications, covering letters or resumes.
