Commission Launches New Website
Easier use, increased accessibility and more information for Nova Scotians are among the highlights of the new Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission website.
The website was launched today, Oct. 9. It includes updated information on human rights education workshops, guidelines for employers and employees, the various options available to resolving a dispute before filing a complaint and if necessary, the process for filing a complaint.
"It is extremely important that Nova Scotians know their rights, have the resources to understand the process, and their options if they believe that their rights may not be protected," said Krista Daley, director and CEO of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission. "At the same time, we need to provide resources to employers, and others who provide services about their obligations and their own rights."
The website also provides Nova Scotians with clear information about the Human Rights Act, discrimination and their rights in Nova Scotia.
The website can be found at www.gov.ns.ca/humanrights .
