New Crown Attorney in Truro
Danielle Bastarache has been appointed a Crown attorney in the Truro office of the Public Prosecution Service. The appointment was announced today, Sept. 3, by Martin Herschorn, director of Public Prosecutions.
"Ms. Bastarache brings a great deal of experience in family and criminal law to the Public Prosecution Service and will be a valuable member of our office."
A native of Moncton, Ms. Bastarache graduated from Université de Moncton in 2001 with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and with a law degree in 2006.
Ms. Bastarache articled with Cox Hanson O'Reilly Matheson in Fredericton before joining the Hampton, New Brunswick firm of Lutz Longstaff in 2007. She later practiced on her own concentrating on family and criminal law. She has acted as a per diem Crown attorney for the Public Prosecution Services of New Brunswick. Since February of 2009, Ms. Bastarache was practicing personal injury law with the Cantini Law Group in Moncton.
Ms. Bastarache is a former board member of the Law Society of New Brunswick representing the Moncton area. She is also a member of the Association des juristes d'expression française du Nouveau-Brunswick. Ms. Bastarache does volunteer work for the Elizabeth Fry Society and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
