Premier Extends Condolences to Friends, Family of Donald Marshall Jr.

Premier Darrell Dexter expressed his condolences to the friends and family of Donald Marshall Jr., who passed away today, Aug. 6, in Sydney.

"Donald Marshall was an influential figure both within Nova Scotia and nationally," said Premier Dexter. "He fought hard for treaty rights and has left an important legacy for the generations of Mi'kmaq who will follow him.

"I was deeply saddened to learn of his death."
