Team Nova Scotia Launches New Website

Meet Nova Scotia's athletes competing in the 2009 Canada Summer Games by visiting the new Team Nova Scotia website.

At www.ns.canadagames.ca, find out about Team Nova Scotia athletes about to head to Prince Edward Island this summer with news and events, athlete profiles and blogs and learn more about the history of Team Nova Scotia and the Canada Games.

Athletes and parents can get current information about participating in the Games and website visitors will see action shots of the competitions and complete results and medal counts during the events.

Team Nova Scotia 2009 has about 430 members -- 340 athletes, 76 coaches, managers and team staff, three artists and 16 mission staff.

The Canada Games is the country's largest amateur multi-sport event. About 4,400 athletes, artists, coaches and managers will gather in Prince Edward Island from Aug. 15 to 29 to compete for 1,500 medals in 18 sports.
