H1N1 (Human Swine Influenza) Update, May 5

Cases of H1N1 (human swine influenza) continue to be reported. Ten additional cases have been confirmed today, May 5, all within the Capital District Health Authority.

This brings the total to 48 cases in Nova Scotia since the outbreak began on April 26. All cases are mild.

Two of the cases reported Monday, May 4, have been traced to the Annapolis Valley Health District Authority. One is an adult. The other is an elementary-aged student at a school in Wolfville. As of now, there is no known link between the two cases and they remain under investigation.
