General Election Called for June 9

Nova Scotians will be going to polls for a general provincial election on Tuesday, June 9.

Premier Rodney MacDonald visited Lt-Gov. Mayann Francis today, May 5, to ask that she dissolve the government and call a general election. By law, the campaign must be a minimum of 30 days and the election held on a Tuesday.
