Order of Nova Scotia Ceremony to be Broadcast Live

Nova Scotians who want to view the 2008 Order of Nova Scotia investiture ceremony will be able to watch it live on television and the Internet.

Legislative Television will broadcast the ceremony on EastLink Channel 10 and EastLink Digital Cable channel 95 beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

This year's Order of Nova Scotia recipients are:

• Nora Madeline Bernard, Millbrook First Nation, Colchester Co. (posthumous)
• Ruth Miriam Goldbloom, Halifax Regional Municipality
• Michael Dan MacNeil, Jamesville, Victoria Co.
• Thomas John "Jock" Murray, Halifax Regional Municipality
• Mahmood Ali Naqvi, Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality
• Sidney Patrick Crosby (youth), Cole Harbour, Halifax Regional Municipality

The ceremony will also be available live on the provincial government website at www.gov.ns.ca .
