Premier Congratulates Reality Show Winner

Premier Rodney MacDonald is congratulating a 14-year-old from Mount Uniacke.

Dunnery Bond, the only contestant from Atlantic Canada, won YTV's new reality series The Next Star, landing a recording contract.

"This is another example of the rest of Canada seeing the musical talent that is so abundant in Nova Scotia," said Premier MacDonald in an e-mail message sent to Dunnery. "It's wonderful to see our youth do so well on the national stage and I wish you all the best with your musical career."

Dunnery has performed in four mainstage Neptune Theatre musicals and has displayed his talents in many other venues throughout the province as well as Toronto and Montreal.
