Canadian Utility Regulators Elect Nova Scotian Chair

Peter Gurnham has been elected as the 2008-09 chair of the Canadian Association of Members of Public Utility Tribunals.

Mr. Gurnham is chair of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, a public utility tribunals member board.

The national association of utility regulators includes federal, provincial, and territorial boards and commissions responsible for regulating the country's electric, water, natural gas and pipeline utilities.

The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board is an independent quasi-judicial body that regulates and adjudicates as outlined by the Utility and Review Board Act.
