Premier Congratulates Nova Scotia Swimmer for Bronze Medal Win

Premier Rodney MacDonald congratulated Chelsea Gotell of Antigonish today, Sept. 8, for winning a bronze medal in the 100 metre butterfly at the Paralympics in Beijing.

Ms. Gotell was part of the Canadian team that swept the podium in the event.

"I want to join all Nova Scotians in congratulating Chelsea on this amazing accomplishment," said Premier MacDonald. "We are all inspired by her drive and determination to be among the best in the world. She has made us very proud."

There are four Nova Scotians participating in the Paralympics.

"These Nova Scotia athletes are true inspirations and role models for all of us," said Premier MacDonald.

Premier MacDonald sent Ms. Gotell an e-mail of congratulations.
