Veteran Broadcaster New Press Secretary
A long-time Nova Scotia journalist is joining Premier Rodney MacDonald's office as press secretary.
Paul Palmeter is anchor/producer at Global Television in Dartmouth. The award-winning journalist has been with Global since 1989, working in both news and sports. Before that, he worked at private radio stations in Dartmouth and the Annapolis Valley.
"I want to welcome Paul to our team," said Premier Rodney MacDonald. "He's a Nova Scotian who understands our province and our people. Obviously his extensive media background will be a tremendous asset in his new position."
"I'm very excited to be joining the Premier's Office," said Mr. Palmeter. "It's a tremendous opportunity. I'm looking forward to working with the premier, and members of the media across the province."
Palmeter will begin his new role at the end of July.
