Acadian Applies to Amend Rates, Add Trailer Service
Acadian Intercity Coaches LP has applied to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board to amend its rates, tolls and charges, and to add a service.
Acadian has requested an average one-way fare increase of 6.2 per cent increase throughout its 52 zones.
Acadian has also applied to operate public passenger vehicles with approved trailers to carry freight, parcel express and luggage, for general route service, only.
A board hearing will be held concurrent with a hearing by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board on Friday, June 6, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cumberland Room of the Super 8 Motel, 40 Lord Amherst Dr., Amherst.
Joint hearings of the two boards alternate between the two provinces. Last year, hearings were held in Sackville, N.B.
People who want to present evidence or cross-examine witnesses must file notice with the board by Friday, May 30. Members of the public not able to attend the Amherst hearing can take part in a telephone conference call. Names and phone numbers must be provided to the board by May 30.
